Frequently Asked Questions
Are your services really FREE? What's the catch?
Yes! Our planning services really are free to you, the guest! We are paid by commission on the location that you choose. The destinations already have a commission built into their pricing system. So it doesn't matter if you book direct with your vacation destinations or use a travel agent. You’re paying the same price. However, the vacation destination will not alert you when they drop their price. A good Travel Agent will always monitor reservations and let you know when they are able to lower your price!
If your services are free, why do you need my credit card?
All payments are processed by the vacation destination that you have chosen, but your travel agent is required to process that payment. Some dining reservations also require a credit card to guarantee your location. In that case, payment will not be processed, only held if you cancel without proper notice. You will never see a payment on your statement to Minnie Van Vacations.
How far in advance should I book my vacation?
That depends on the destination that you have chosen. Walt Disney World, we recommend booking no less than 8 months out to get all the perfect plans in place! Disney Cruise Line is best to look more than a year out to get the best "deal". Disneyland, less than 6 months. But it's never too soon to start planning! Most destination will allow you to make changes any time before final payment is made without penalties. Feel free to email us to ask about your specific destination!
What's the best age to take my kids to Disney?
That depends! Is this a once in a lifetime vacation or can you see yourself returning every few years. Every age is magical. Babies are so easy to care for in the parks, especially with the Baby Care Centers. Toddlers are fun...they get into the details. Plus as long as you check in prior to their 3rd birthday...they get in to the parks FREE! Young children are more likely to understand the process of lines and height requirements. Teens will understand the story lines behind the attractions. Adults can turn into kids at heart...There truly is something for everyone.
